Designing and Facilitating Synchronous e-Learning

Synchronous means occurring or existing at the same time. Synchroous e‑learning, commonly supported by virtual classroom or webinar technologies, provides a live, online learning experience in which an instructor and a group of learners interact and speak in a virtual classroom from different places. Designing for and facilitating in a synchronous event is different than other online learning. The focus shifts from pushing information our to creating interactive and collaborative experiences. This requires a new look at the design and facilitation as well as the technology tools used to deliver live events. This course is delivered fully online in weekly synchronous sessions.
