Workplace Communication and Intercultural Competency

Explore prin­ci­ples of pro­fes­sion­al­ism, col­lab­o­ra­tion, and work­place con­duct in the Cana­di­an work­place. The course exam­ines inter­cul­tur­al com­mu­ni­ca­tion in cross-cul­tur­al con­texts. Stu­dents devel­op and prac­tice strate­gies for lis­ten­ing and speak­ing in pro­fes­sion­al con­texts, includ­ing pre­sen­ta­tion skills. They also prac­tice writ­ing resumes and cov­er let­ters, cor­re­spond­ing with poten­tial employ­ers, job inter­view skills, and work­place communication.

Students from all educational backgrounds welcome. You can register for this course without applying and enrolling in a program.
