Environmental Audits

  • 21 hour course, no prerequisites

Envi­ron­men­tal audit­ing is a man­age­ment tool increas­ing­ly used by orga­ni­za­tions to ver­i­fy that the orga­ni­za­tion is meet­ing its envi­ron­men­tal oblig­a­tions. It is also an essen­tial ele­ment of an envi­ron­men­tal man­age­ment sys­tem and a pri­ma­ry dri­ver of con­tin­u­al improve­ment. This course will pro­vide the stu­dent with the skills and knowl­edge to under­take effec­tive envi­ron­men­tal audits that will pro­vide many ben­e­fits to their organization.

What you will learn

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • Understand how environmental auditing is used to the benefit of an organization.
  • Implement the audit process using effective methods and techniques.
  • Communicate audit results to stimulate action.
  • Apply the skills needed to execute an environmental audit.
  • Understand how an audit program is managed within an organization.
Take note:

  • Environmental audits will be created in class as directed by current industry best practices and regulations. Risk assessment and evaluation will also be integrated into audit reports for comprehensive application of course content.
