Writing Photgraphically: Image, Text and Memory Work
What thousand words does a picture say-or not say? Through a series of short readings and exercises using found and personal photographs, we will investigate how our writing can be enhanced through an exploration of photography. Part of our task will be to think through the visuals as we reflect on our own histories and identities. We will work to expand our thinking about writing in relation to the visual.
