Elements of Creative Nonfiction
Creative nonfiction is currently a “hot” genre. This course will cover the following forms: writing about performance/experience (review form), writing about places (travel writing), writing about controversy/current events (Op-Ed), writing about people (biography), and writing about the self (autobiography and memoir).Your own projects and project ideas will be discussed. We will look at writing as a process — from generating ideas to polishing your words. Publication markets, writing groups, plans for revision, will also be discussed.
