Strong team mem­bers are the back­bone of any team, and com­mu­ni­ca­tion is fun­da­men­tal to work­ing effec­tive­ly with oth­ers. Dur­ing this course, par­tic­i­pants will learn to improve their com­mu­ni­ca­tion and team skills. Intend­ed out­comes include learn­ing how to: deper­son­al­ize and dis­arm stress; present sit­u­a­tions and deci­sions with clar­i­ty; and lis­ten between the lines for under­ly­ing issues and con­cerns. This course will help par­tic­i­pants dis­cov­er how com­mu­ni­ca­tion can help them become more effec­tive team members.

Your Instructor

Renée Paul

Renée Paul, B.Comm., CPHR, has over 25 years of experience in the learning and development, organizational effectiveness, and human resources fields. Renée has worked as a learning and development consultant and a leadership consultant for The Performance Group, Servus Credit Union, and Stuart Olson. She has partnered with a variety of client groups, including several departments in the Alberta public sector, Lilydale, the City of Edmonton, and the University of Alberta. Renée has a passion for learning and development, best practices, and effective communications. She is a flexible, approachable trainer who works to help each learner take away some practical tools to be more successful.

Syn­chro­nous online learning, eClass

In synchronous online courses, students move through the course material at the same pace as their peers. These courses also provide learners with pre-scheduled online lectures that have the instructor and students interacting at the same time.
