Japanese VI

Con­tin­ue your prac­tice and study of Japan­ese as we cov­er Lessons 8 through 11 in Japan­ese for Busy Peo­ple, Vol. II, and study 50 more kan­ji from the fourth lev­el of the Japan­ese Lan­guage Pro­fi­cien­cy Test (JLPT). We will con­tin­ue to study the basics of Japan­ese syn­tax. Top­ics cov­ered will include: the plain form of verbs and adjec­tives; com­pound sen­tences; mod­i­fy­ing, tem­po­ral (“when”), and con­di­tion­al (“if”) claus­es; poten­tial and voli­tion­al forms; and direct and indi­rect quo­ta­tions. Upon com­ple­tion of this course, stu­dents will gain nat­ur­al, accu­rate and flex­i­ble com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills in Japan­ese and will be able to car­ry on a vari­ety of dai­ly conversations.
