Interpersonal Communications in Business

This course examines the process of interpersonal communication and its impact on decision-making and relationships in business. It addresses various factors, including the effects of non-verbal communication, which often reduces understanding to result in a high degree of miscommunication. Strategies for effective communication are explored. Opportunities are given to develop skills in listening and responding to others.

Nolan CrouseID: nolan-crouse
The former mayor of St. Albert (Alberta), Nolan Crouse spent 30 years in management and executive roles in companies such as Procter and Gamble, West Fraser Timber, and Alberta Energy Company (EnCana). He is a past recipient of the prestigious Pulp and Paper John Bates Award, received the Rotary Paul Harris Award, and was a recipient of the Queen’s Jubilee Silver Medallion. Nolan has a history of serving his community and industry in many aspects, including the United Way, Canada Winter Games, and as general manager of AJHL hockey franchises in both Brooks and Fort Saskatchewan.
